Nalunga Achan - Needs help to in school!
Hope Ofiriha helped 318 Sudanese children to complete their primary education since 1996 in Uganda.
Hope Ofiriha is looking for donors to sponsor the many children we have on waiting list. We know that the current recession has made thing difficult for all, and our GlobalGiving donors are also hit badly. But poor children suffer the most. And the ongoing global economic recession adds problem to an already existing poverty in which they were born. Still you can consider giving $10 monthly. Your money together from another donor helps sponsor a poor boy or a girl to go to school in Uganda.
Linda and William have been running the primary school sponsorship programme with great enthusiasm. During 2010, Hope Ofiriha sponsored 5 students to go to various primary schools in Uganda.
Beatrice, Agnes and Linda have drawn up rules for the programme so that money is used wisely for the students who deserve help. Unfortunately, several students have had to be removed from the programme due to lack of funds, but few students are still benefiting from the sponsorship programme. The sponsored students at each school nominate fellow students to be their representative; he or she reports back to Ms. Linda and are the main link with that school.
In July 2010, Ms. Linda organized a mini-party for those sponsored poor children which was held at Kajjansji- primary school. We had a good turnout with 24 students attending. They were very positive about the sponsorship programme, and it was very rewarding to see their various gratitude and commitment to do well.
A quote from a sponsored boy:
"Before Hope Ofiriha sponsored me I used to be in the street begging or playing football because my mother is poor and cannot pay my school fees. I have a good future because I want to be a doctor."
You will be hearing from us again in the next three months latest update and we look forward in partnering with you until the objective of this project is fully achieve.
Thanks for your continue support!
