Save 2000 children from child marriage

by Sankalpa Community Based Rehabilitation-Nepal (Sankalpa CBR-Nepal)

Sankalpa CBR aims to save 2000 children from child marriage in eastern Nepal. Life of children in Nepal is miserable as they are still unaware of child rights and pushing themselves in trouble by marrying at early age and discontinuing education.

total goal

Because of cultural value, low economic status, lack of awareness on parents child marriage is increasing in the village. It is also increasing faster by following bad example of other colleague who eloped in early age and getting hi fi facilities after marriage. It has hampered the life of children as instead of going school they are getting married in young age. Because of mother is not matured physically also their children are weak or die soon. It has contributed in child mortality.

By mobilizing children for children this issue can be solved as children can be great change agent on their problem. We have to train children on child rights and provide guidance that is appropriate to them

Long-Term Impact

We will train leaders, parents and children on importance of education, challenges comes in life due to child marriage so on. It will cover more than 2000 children and families.
