Abraham's Children Foundation (ACF), is working to provide free ant-malaria medicine to save orphan girl child life from been treated for malaria with ineffective boiled local leaves or herbs in under-served rural poor communities of Nigeria. Malaria related dead among orphan girl children who are pregnant is on the increase due to inability of these vulnerable children to access quality anti-malaria medicine. There are currently over 40000 orphan girl children 10% of them are pregnant in under-served communities of Nigeria at risk of malaria related dead. These orphans girl children live with caregivers from poor families in under-serve communities of Nigeria and are unaware of the growing resistance of malaria to local leaves or herbs. This ignorance result in high mortality rate among children treated with local leaves or herbs. We work with community women to treat malaria in women & girl children
In 2018 we have started this project with human demands for anti-malaria medicine beyond the funding capability of the ACF Trustees. Through request for free anti-malaria medicines by vulnerable group of persons in under-serve communities. We have learned that ACF is making a difference in lives of these persons without money to buy World Health Organization (WHO) recommended medicines for treatment of Malaria. Help us to safe life of orphan girl children at risk of dead due malaria disease
This project will provide anti-malaria medicines to over 2,000 orphan girl children with or without pregnancy/babies thereby reducing new case of malaria related dead in orphan's care-giving families without money to buy quality anti-malaria medicines recommended by WHO. The use of local leaves and herbs to treat malaria will be abandon by these vulnerable poor families in under-serve communities where ACF serve.
