International Medical Corps is saving lives of mothers and children around the world by giving midwives the tools and skills they need to deliver babies safely.
Nearly 12,000 mothers are receiving lifesaving medical services in parts of the world where pregnancy is one of the gravest dangers a woman can face. Every minute, a woman dies due to complications during pregnancy and childbirth. We make the health and well-being of women and children our top priority. We will train more midwives, provide more medicines and equipment in the most remote corners of the world.
We work to prevent maternal mortality not only by supplying medications and equipment, but also by training nurses, midwives, and doctors to handle delivery complications and provide obstetric care.
You can help us save the lives of more mothers - and their babies around the world by making sure they have a skilled attendant with them during delivery who has the skills and tools needed to handle the life-threatening complications that can arise.
