This project will ensure stable supply of free sanitisers,face masks, soap, food and counselling services to 500 vulnerable elderly people from 200 needy families to combat COVID19 in the rural areas of Trans-Nzoia in Kenya

Challenge

The corona virus is rapidly spreading in an alarm rate in Kenya . The elderly who are in the rural areas are more vulnerable due to their advanced age and low body immunity. There are limited interventions directed to towards this vulnerable group who urgently require Water ,Sanitation and Hygiene facilities as well as essential diet to protect them from contracting COVID19.

Solution

TYSA provides sanitizers, hand washing containers, soap&detergents, face masks , fruits and supplements to the needy elderly people. The elderly people care givers are trained on corona virus preventive measures and symptoms.

Long-Term Impact

The project will protect 500 elderly people and 200 families from COVID19 allowing them to continue with socio-economic activities thus ensuring healthy families and general well being
