Our focus is to train traditional birth attendants on clean delivery, training on neonatal infection, ante natal visits, prevention of sepsis and newborn care in Dausayi village of Gezawa local government area; we have been able to train 10 TBAs and 5 Community health workers on clean delivery. As part of the project, we supplied basic delivery kits to the TBAs and CHWs after the training and also created a business model for adoption for sustainability. The items used for the basic delivery kits can easily be obtained at a subsidised fee where upon visits to the pregnant women, they will be able to sell items such as soap, supplements that will help the pregnancy. Each TBA and CHW was assigned to 5 households in order to maximise impact.
