It is exciting to hear that the number of clients enrolled on ART is increasing in Kitovu Mobile; this is due to the increasing man power of the trained expert Clients/Community workers.  The Community workers have played a great deal in supporting the technical staff to enroll more clients on ART.  They normally train fellow clients on how to manage and take ARVS before the actual enrollment. Given their numbers and the geographical location they have been able to reach a big clientele. To date 1,346 clients are active on ART of which 69% are female. For only this year 151 clients have been enrolled on ART of which 108 are male, 108 Female, 11 female children, and five male children.

This year we have trained 145 expert clients of which 64% are female and this has been a big resource to Kitovu Mobile. This strong and dedicated team has enhanced our collaboration with Uganda Cares through the Test and Treat project and as a result we have been able to test 33,885 clients in a period of one and half years. Of the people tested 47% were female and 2.9 %( 979) were positive.

The Expert clients / Community workers have not only been beneficial in supporting ART enrollment but they have also played a great deal in sensitizing communities about cancer and also referring cancer patients to Kitovu mobile for palliative care. Since 2002 Kitovu Mobile has treated 2,562 clients of which 85% are female. 447(54% female) were treated in 2012 and 632 home visits were made. 58 bereavement counselling sessions were made and 188 patients died.

We acknowledge all the support from our stakeholders, without you it would be impossible for Kitovu       mobile to realize these results. It is your support that has a made a change to lives of many
