Despite the improving drug adherence, the HIV/AIDS prevalence rate in Uganda is going up. Whereas HIV prevalence is increasing, married couples and widows are the most at population. It is therefore paramount to emphasize for behavioral change to avert the epidemic. During this period community workers are working so hard to educate the people on behavior change. However,we are not so much worried of the increasing HIV/AIDS prevalence rate because HIV –infected Ugandans now live longer as a result of treatment with ARVs and this way contributes to the increase in the prevalence rate. The number of people dying from AIDS-related infections is significantly going down.
