Finishing Phase 1

By Constance Hunt | Executive Director

Dear Donors:

We are almost finished with phase 1 of the project. We only need to do a few, small things to be ready to open the project to the public, such as finish laying tiles on the sides of the stairs and on top of and underneath the kitchen sink (see the photo, below), plastering the upper part of the walls in the staircase, building the handrail for the staircase, setting the stove burners on stands and connecting them to the biodigester.

Please stay with us as we steam towards phase two: completing construction of the upper floor of the project for people who want to meet and eat on-site and building the filter system so that liquid effluent from biodigester can be safely discharged into the storm water system rather than exhausted and trucked to a sewage treatment plant.

Thanks again for your support!

Sincerely,

Constance
