About 70% of Nigerians lives in rural communities area of Nanti village,they do not have access to basic healthcare services.this population is mostly made up of women and children. Many communities on this riverine area are difficult to reach due to topography of their geographical location. Many women and children travel long distance through boat and spend a lot of time to access health care outside the village.This project will provide essential primary healthcare to the 5000 people.
The Nanti villages do not have little or no access to basic healthcare services and good health.these communities are difficult to reach due to topography of the geographical location and poor road infrastructure. sick members of the community, especially the elderly, expecting mothers and infants, have to walk or be transported by boat , twenty miles away. Expecting mothers do not have to walk 10 to 20 miles to get prenatal care and to give birth to their baby safely.this is worrisome.
the project will provides nutrition,medicines, and health care to starving children,the children mothers are trained in nutrition and child care.the mothers are also taught to share their new knowledge with their neighbors.
the project will educate 300 women allowing them to rise out of poverty, which will provide for their families health and well-being.
