In run-up to COP29 in Azerbaijan, we are urgently appealing for funds to support 25 young, children and women climate advocates from DRC, Ghana and Malawi. The aim is to provide them with scholarships to cover travel and acomodation costs so that they can participate in this important international climate conference. COP29 represents a crucial platform for climate advocates from around the world, particularly those from developing countries who are often the most vulnerable to impacts of CC.
Young people, children and women in developing countries have difficulty accessing the resources needed to participate in major events such as the COP, while the environmental impact is enormous in these countries and most of the natural resources to be protected are in developing countries. There is a need to support the participation of the few young people at COP29.
