Construction has well begun!

Tier construction

The end of February marked the start of construction of our 50 meter pedestrian bridge. The benefited communities of Lucidia Mantilla and Sor Maria Romero have shown great support and participation for the past month of work by showing up everyday and in great numbers. The community leaders, Jahaira, Cesar and Leonardo, have been working really hard to coordinate material arrival from the municipality along with assuring that there is enough manpower everyday at the bridge site. Rice EWB-USA will be traveling in May and bringing down 11 college students to finish the bridge. Your contributions will provide a safe crossing for community members in time for the upcoming rainy season (Late May through October). We expect to have the bridge inauguration party on May 24th.
