Continuing Kimbilio's Commitment to Reunite Families
By Eva - Walters
Keen followers of our project will notice that we have recently increased our goal here on GlobalGiving, and we just wanted to explain why to you.
Thanks to your faithful support, Kimbilio has maintained the number of children reunited with their families. This is testament to the careful and holistic reintegration program that has been developed. Kimbilio's continuing outreach work within the street market places, as well as developing strong community connections, mean that we are well placed to continue to develop this program which directly impacts on so many street children's lives. Kimbilio is leading the way working with street children in Lubumbashi, DR Congo. The cost of running a program like this is ongoing, and the current political and economic uncertainties, both globally and locally, have directly impacted on both the increased number of street children and the project costs.
Congo Children Trust, with Kimbilio, started this project with a real goal of helping street children to reunite with their families. We made that commitment and we renew that commitment.
Every street child deserves a loving home. If you would like any further information, please don't hesitate to contact me .
