This project target to enroll children under the age of 10 who are not in school for the wrong reason of been used to work in the farm into primary schools. 1000 children is expected to be mobilized through a Parents/Project Partnership (PPP) counseling sessions that is envisioned to motivate the parents to pick up a voluntary habit of enrolling their kids into school in Abuja FCT Nigeria.
Abuja FCT is the Capital state of Nigeria with over 900 rural communities and children taken a population of over 60% but having less than 10% of the children in schools as a result of their erroneous belief that their children are meant to primarily help them in their farm work. Hence, these communities have existed for more than 100 years without any form of social development. But the world misconstrued Abuja being capital city as one perfect territory after the look of the President.
Farm to School Project (FSP); plan to directly enrol 1000 children into primary schools in one year and brand these children as project ambassadors to serve as community motivation among other children and parents who show apathy to children education. Through a technically alliened activities; Project/Parents Partnership, Project/Teacher's Partnership and partnership with traditional rulers, we will provide the children with school materials and one year enrollment fees.
Every aftermath of education is contagious in its overall effect to bring about social liberation and transformation both on the short and long run. Farm to school project will change generations and mend cultural deficits. At end of the grant period, the primary education status of this community would have reasonably changed to rank among the best among rural villages in the nation. Money do not determine all results, Will-power does.
