This project will raise awareness, provide training to volunteers and experienced hands from the various communities to act as health champions, sharing vital information on hypertension and diabetes through peers group, meetings, and through other health campaigns. Hypertension and Diabetes affect 1 in every 3 men and 1 in every 4 women here in Nigeria. Increase in hypertensive and diabetes drugs are forcing this patient to go on compulsory ''drug holiday'' as they found it hard to get funds in getting drugs in real time leading to many going on ''drug holiday or seeking an alternative to drugs. The poor economic situation with poor health condition of this person and government actions regarding awareness is an issue too

We will provide support in terms of medical screening, medications (medical drugs), and other nutritional supplements and advice that will aid them to cope and live a healthy.
Funding this project will ensure our health awareness initiatives are taken to the doorsteps of our target audience in collaboration with government health agencies, our volunteers and the Executive team of Community Development Associations under the project coverage where awareness on hypertension and diabetes its effects; how to cope and manage it will be given due priority.
