This project will help to resettle 500 families from earthquake victims of one of the affected north Lalitpur district of Nepal. Thousands of people lost their houses and hundreds of children became orphan. The project will focus the most affected group of children, women, disabled and elderly people who are still staying under a temporary shelter with an uncertain future. Many of them can not afford for their children's education and struggling for daily survival.
Nepal was hit by massive earthquake in March 25th and April 12, 2015 devastating more than ten thousands of houses.That disaster made thousands of people homeless, hundreds of children orphan and most of the people came in to the street and more than 9000 people died. The reconstruction effort from the nation is very minimum we need warm clothes to children and elderly people living in a very poor condition shelter. They need long term settlement with income generating opportunity.
There is an immediate need for victims to have proper shelter, warm clothing that H4F is taking initiation. The skill training, seed money for small scale business, education support to children and monthly support for elderly people to buy medicine or food can ease their problem and slowly it takes them towards long term sustainability.
The project will help 500 earthquake victims to resettle in their community and to completely overcome from the trauma of the quake. The affected children will be regular in school again and there will be income generating opportunity for affected families of Lalitpur district of Nepal. We will conduct regular skill training for the earning and regular medicine and food provided to elderly people who are left from their family.
