Thanks to you donors, we were able to expand our Safe House in Guinea which was on the verge of shutting down last month due to overcrowding. Our Safe Houses provide food, shelter, basic supplies, and education to girls rescued from/escaping female genital mutilation who have nowhere to go.
On September 8, 2012, the girls celebrated and thanked their sponsors via Skype conferencing after receiving their monthly hygiene and other supplies. Even little Osasu who was rescued from FGM at 1 years old got a chance to say thank you to her sponsor.
Even though the expansion is not yet painted, we appreciate your support in getting us to where we are. We can now accomodate all 52 girls in the Safe House. We sincerely thank and appreciate you.
