Grace Girl is a project of Brave To Love that rescues, supports and rehabilitate girls as young as 15 up to 35 that have been trafficked, kidnapped and sold into the sex trade in South-Africa. The funds are allocated to rescues, medical expenses and immediate needs of the ladies. Many of the ladies have children and funds go to support the children as well.
Human trafficking is one of the most relentless disgraceful crimes that can ever happen to a girl. Worldwide at this moment, a shocking 24.9 million people are being robbed of their freedom. Worldwide today human trafficking is an annual 32 billion dollar industry. An estimate of 80% of human traffick victims are exploited into the sex industry. Poverty in South-Africa and neighbouring countries has caused more and more girls to enter the sex industry, some being trafficked and others forced.
Brave to Love's project Grace Girl rescues and rehabilitate girls that have been sold into the sex trade. It provides an avenue of hope and new beginning for the victims. The Safehouse provide recovery, rehabilitation and restoration for these ladies to be reintegrated back into society by providing job oppertunities.
The long term impact is to not only have one Restoration Home but many in different locations of South-Africa. The amouont of girls discovered are shocking and there are only a small amount of safehouses in South-Africa that can really care for these girls sufficiently.
