Our Solution OBLF's Remedy program provides primary care through village-based clinics, home care visits, palliative care, and mental health support. We ensure comprehensive treatment for the most vulnerable. Our approach emphasizes early detection and ongoing management of NCDs, provide geriatric and palliative care services as well as supportive care for mental health.
Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) like hypertension and diabetes, life-limiting illnesses, and mental health issues are severely impacting vulnerable populations in rural Anekal Taluk. Older adults, those with chronic conditions, and economically disadvantaged groups face limited healthcare access and support, worsening their quality of life. Left untreated, these conditions lead to premature death, financial burdens, and deteriorating community health.
Our Solution OBLF's Remedy program provides an integrated, community-based healthcare model that addresses evolving health needs. By offering primary care through village-based clinics, home care visits, palliative care, and mental health support, we ensure comprehensive treatment for the most vulnerable. Our approach emphasizes early detection and ongoing management of NCDs while reducing the stigma of mental health and offering compassionate care for the terminally ill.
Over the past two years, Remedy has: Treated 1,000+ patients with hypertension and diabetes, reducing preventable cardiovascular disease. Improved the quality of life for 50 patients needing palliative care through home-based services. Engaged 17 local frontline health workers to offer healthcare and education to over 30 remote villages, benefiting more than 13,000 individuals. Over the next few years, we plan to reach out to around 30,000 people through this project.
