Cylone gaja made its midnight land fall between India almost, every road and habitat in is littered with tree trunks. All the roofed residents were heavily damaged by hurricane. Of the cyclone, totally 63 persons have been met to death. As Govt. officials found that crops over 88102 have been damaged in 5556 relief camps 78,019 victims have been accommodated. Victims were protected at the same time their needs could not be meet properly. Hence it is duty, to do relief and rehabilitation.
As the electrical poles and transformers were fall down, there is no power supply in all effected 4 districts. As the majority of villages are in relief camps, their needs are plenty. Then we need to provide them the accommodated relief. Such on food packets, Biscuits, water bottles, napkins, towels, Innerwears, lingeries, candles, etc
The distraction 100 year old trees fallen is the exemplifies the gravity of the situation. The typical fertile cavery river delta district has coconut, banyans, beside paddy and groundnut fields. The high speed cyclone completely destroyed all crops it will take at least 5 - 10 years for the villages to plant and harvest. We planned to meet their immediate needs of the farmer community to provide plant sapling, soil test, and also alternative addition livelihood promotion and start ups.
From the cyclones 3 vulnerable groups were affected farmers, fishermen's and salt pan workers. Mainly hectares of land and cash crops were washed away A Government survey for crop loss and houses were damaged compensation would begins soon. However, the loss incurred heavily, we meet the needs of victims in multiple ways. The main object of our present project in to meet the prime victims long term need. Thro continues trainings, Provision of saplings and agricultural intervention.
