Due to poverty,exploitation being trafficked, to bring them out from the trap of vicious cycle of poverty by providing pair of pigs to 120 tribal women for nurturing in their mud house and to help another 120 women in processing of Minor Forest Produce (MFP) and Surplus Agriculture Produce (SAP) to get income/better remunerative price and also extend technical knowledge to adopt sanitation, drink clean water and live healthy life in 16 tribal inaccessible forest villages of Chhatisgarh
Due to grim situation in tribal area, tribal women income is low, their asset base is small, resulting there by poverty,poor health,unavailability of fundamental services and lack of employment opportunities, Tribal women are being trafficking on pretext of getting job and exploited. Also due to unawareness live un-hygienically, don't adopt sanitation/drink clean water. Due to trafficking, tribal community is loosing identity/culture. Solution will benefit tribal women/community as a whole.
Providing income generating avenues.One pair of Pigs to poorest among the poor tribal women who are likely to allow themselves to be trafficked and give small financial support for processing of Minor Forest Produce /Surplus Agriculture Produce to get income/better remunerative price. 120 pair of pigs to be given to tribal women and another 120 women be supported for processing MFP & ASP in 16 proposed villages in Jharkhand and Chhatisgarh also to sensitize to adopt sanitation/ drink clean water
Long term impact will be on the tribal families and its community, once income enhances able to come out from vicious cycle of poverty. When become economically Independent and adopt sanitation and drink clean water become healthy and live creative life, form strong tribal women group for MFP/SAP in a cooperative way will be formed and with their efforts pig chain will be created strongly in tribal areas. Project will capacitate 1200 tribal people allowing them to rise out of poverty.
