With another mild winter and lots of rain, I think we live in a perpetual state of 'swamp' instead of pastures. We need to catch a break with he weather in the next month or two so we can dig trenches and lay the tile. Under the current conditions, trenches would collapse as soon as they were dug. They would fill with water making it impossible to properly lay the tile. My sincere hope is that we get this entire project completed THIS SUMMER! If you have a few extra dollars, the next Bonus Donation day is March 13th. Your donation will be matched at 30% by Global Giving! Sweet! Where else is your donation worth more than face value? As usual, I want to give a shout out to an amazing organization. Recently, through shared efforts in working a horse neglect case, I have had the pleasure of working with Jacqui and Roger at Boone County Animal Services, Belvidere, Il. They are so dedicated to the animals in their care as well as educating the public about animal abuse and neglect. Surprisingly to me, they operate on a shoestring budget that does not allow them to provide sometimes essential healthcare to animals. This is only funded by the generous donations of people in the community. Find and like them, and us, on Facebook. BCASAC will find them. Thanks once again to all of you for your past donations to our pasture project. Please remember March 13th Bonus Donation Day and give what you can. Also, be on the lookout for our newest project to be posted soon!
