Horizon Social Assistance Development Organization abbreviated (Horizon), Horizon is a non profit Organization based in Hargeisa Somaliland East Africa. Horizon was founded in 2007 by a group of youth volunteers of both the gender. Horizon organization is working the social basic needs in this country of Somaliland, Horizon provides humanitarian care/ feed and advocates to the mentally sick people, substance abuse, and the mentally Disabled people. Horizon makes reintegration activities.
This country of (Somaliland) has been just recovering the destruction from the civil wars, during and after the civil war there was a impacts and affects to the community in different sides, the mental illness and the mental impact and also the physical disability are some of the main parts of the war impacts left to the community. As arrived from the refugees camps and the neighboring countries, the community started re establishing their normal lives, works and reconstructed their own.
Hopefully this project will guarantee to reduce the stigma of youth unemployment, to have a better skills and basic educations to bright their future lives, so that this project is expected to reduce of this problem of unemployment and make up the skills of the targeted group to establish their own works. This project will also create a new vision for their future and will plan a short and long term policies focusing to the target group.
The Long term of this project will bright the 73 unskilled youth, and also this program will produce new generations in the long term, by the expert of our volunteer group it also plan the long term strategies of the targeted group. It also plans the skill creation and the job creation of the unemployment youth which will help them improve their living standards, rise out of poverty, and put back to their community in the future. They will be fulfilling their mission and dreams.
