Karina, Kelly, Jakeline and Gerson depend on scholarships to be a part of the Amún Shéa educational program. Just knowing the funds will be available to cover their expenses brings a sense of relief that allows them to concentrate on the work and responsibility their learning program requires. You see, each student has their own unique study plan, built around their particular interests and gifts.
The innovative problem based curriculum, created by and implemented at Amún Shéa, allows students to explore areas of concern that draw their interest. They are then free to investigate any and all information regarding it and propose solutions for that particular concern. In this sense, the program is life-changing, not just for the students enrolled in school, but for their families and the communities that benefit from the solutions.
Funding our scholarship program brings a double benefit. Not only in guaranteeing program access to students, but in supporting the design/build of an educational program that can be replicated in areas of similar socioeconomic conditions.
Karina, Kelly, Jakeline, Gerson and the Amún Shéa community thank you for your generosity in supporting our scholarship program. Please ask your family, friends and acquaintances to join in so that we can include other students with great ideas and initiative.
