The Molobala Women's Association has a market gardening perimeter to provide for their children and also to generate resources. Today the four wells on the perimeter are drying up because of the influx of women and need to be dug again. The Women's Management Committee needs income management training. These women are very committed and supportive and all their resources come from the perimeter.
The importance of the perimeter given its profitability for the 63 women greatly affects the 4 wells dug. Water that is at the base to water the boards becomes scarce before 12 o'clock and women are forced to stay until 14 hours which slows down the work.
The overcrowding of the 4 wells will allow the women to work all day in the perimeter. It must be recognized that the perimeter is the only way for these women to generate resources, provide for their children and fight malnutrition.
In the long term, this project will: - To organize women into cooperative production companies; - To increase the cash income of the farmers; - Strengthen the stability of families; - Ending violence against women; - To develop partnership with other cooperatives or agricultural processing associations; - To organize women into agricultural processing structures.
