A year has passed since we started to rehabilitate children with impaired hearing. Concurrently we organized two rehabilitation camps, where we helped 49 children hear their first sounds and say their first words. These children were able to join the world of sounds, enjoy music, hear nature and experience the joy of communication.
We would like to share a couple of success stories from our little patients.
Anton underwent a surgery at a critical age of 5. In March of this year he completed a rehabilitation program. Today we see progress in his development: he already knows how to countand composes sentences and attends a regular kindergarten.
Liza is 3, she has gone through a cochlear implant surgery. Since her surgery was timely and followed by a rehabilitation program in our camp, her speech development is at pace with her peers.
Sonya had a surgery when she was 2.5 years old. She has successfully completed two rehabilitation programs at our camp. She is now 5 and her developmental process is evident. She reads books out loud to her mother, sings songs, and enjoys watching cartoons. Today Sasha is getting ready to go to first grade.
All of these successes became possible thanks our kind and generous donors.
We express our sincere thanks for your kindness and understanding!
Today our Fund is organizing a new rehabilitation camp, which is scheduled to take place in September, 2018. 125 children are awaiting the opportunity to go through rehabilitation at our camp after undergoing the cochlear implant surgery. This year we are organizing a charity concert where children with cochlear implants will perform songs, read poems, and play musical instruments. This concert will be a bright celebration of our joint success!
We will be very grateful for your continued support!
The real names of the children were changed.
