Society for Empowering Human Resource (SEHER) established on May, 28th 1998 and registered under Society Act 1860 with registration # 840 by a group of youth sharing a common aim and commitment to address human misery with a special focus on vulnerable segment of society i.e. women, children, minorities, refugees, disable/abused and the poorest of the poor. SEHER, being a right based social reformatory organization, adopts a holistic approach towards right based development initiatives upholding the human rights. SEHER used a rigorous approach by analyzing the various aspects that contribute to oppression, injustice, violence and poverty in the society while treating the victims as “subjects of the change process”
Child protection is one of the most important thematic areas of SEHER. Violence, negligence and abuse, labor, exploitation and discrimination are threats trough out the life cycle of children, which endanger their healthy growth.
SEHER from its very early period of work started working on child protection issues in Quetta and other areas of Baluchistan. SEHER has worked in both the areas like response to the protection issues as service provider but worked as advocate to bring change at policy level.
SEHER work for the rehabilitation and education for the children victim of commercial Sexual exploitation in Quetta city, most of these children are street working and street living children the protection activities are carried out through a child protection center and outreach at the spot where children are being exploited.
SEHER respond in the emergencies for the protection and revive the education in the disaster affected areas. SEHER provide protection and psychosocial support through Child friendly spaces, community groups, and provision of supplies. Education was supported through establishment of temporary learning centers, transit school shelter, and provision of reading, writing and learning material.
IMTAZAJ Project conducted a work shop .topic was child protection, child rights united nation convention on the rights of children and Legal Education. The work shop was held at Child Protection Center Quetta for the members of Child associations. 23 children/youth participated in the workshop. Aim of workshop was to educate participants about the basic rights of children’s and to protect their rights. The training workshop covered following topics
