Rehabilitate Commercial sexualy exploited children

For the rehabilitation of children sexually exploited SEHER involve parents and community members, for their effective involvement we need to aware them, a training program was conducted for the parents and community groups which are form to monitor situation of child protection in their areas. 18 parents and community members participated in this training. The training covered.The training started with the introduction of all participants of workshop including staff members. In introduction session all participant who were members of PCC committees introduced them self with any hesitation. The introduction was done with good compliments.

The session of project information done, In this session the trainer told the PCC members about project (CHILD PROTECTION CENTER) IMTIZAJ and AMEVCSD .The trainer very well explain the purpose of project and aims of project with easy wording .The PCC members took interest in this session and they wanted to more information about center.

Convention on the right of the child was also  very informative session for all members of PCC .In this session the trainer explain the CRC detail and  realize them how CRC is important for us, because in communities we need more then more awareness about CRC .

The community’s members were asking question in this session about child right. After this session they felt the important and the need of CRC in society s well as communities which are the main pillar of society.

The trainer very well communicated the members about the communication. In this session the main object was that how we should talk and behave with children and all aspect which are including and related communication.

The members were asking question in this session and answering as well about this session, its mean they were taking interest in the session.

The trainer in this session explained all related issues about child abuse. The trainer told to PCC members about all basic aspect of child protection issues. The information about the child abuse was very informative for the PCC members.

In this session the trainer also told them about the categorization of children by nature sexual activities and sexual vulnerabilities.

Project information:

One of the project components is to build the capacity of the staff members for this purpose two days training on life skills based education for trainers whose are directly involved with children was arranged and deliver. The training was designed according to the understanding of the group. The following sessions were conducted:-

Introduction:

The training was started with the the round of introduction and LSBE (Life Skill Base Education) was introduced. The group was involved in discussion on specific issue to highlight the importance of life skills based education. They were sensitized about the day to day life problems and coping with them constructively. After that we set the norms of this training with mutual understanding and also write down the expectations and fear about the training.

 Decision making and problem solving:

 With the help of groups did the role play to clear the concept of problem solving and decision making and also explain and both the topics were discussed briefly. They were provided with the information to decide well and their problem solving abilities were enhanced. All the participants shair their experience and ideas. Also show the pictures on problem solving and decision making and ask the participant’s views.      

 Self awareness:

 The session was started with that individuals write down their strength and weaknesses. With the help of a short lecture the importance of self awareness was highlighted and a theory of two Psychologists (Joh and Harry window) was shared to make them understand their strengths and weaknesses to improve quality of life. Also discuss that this is very necessary that we came to know our strength and weaknesses. And this will also tell the children that every body has strength and weaknesses, but we could change our weaknesses into strength.

Creative and Critical thinking:

Briefly discuss these topics and share that what is critical thinking how we perceive other’s comments in +ve sense and bring a +ve change in our weaknesses. Then we also discuss the creative thinking’s that creative thinking’s are God gifted, we Draw Squares and said to participants that they generate more squares inside these squares. Another activity done that was on story making Facilitators give a start of a story and ask to all the participants that every body said only one sentence to follow the story and then give it a positive end. 

 Health and hygiene:

 Discuss the types of health and hygiene with participants also discusses how these relate to another. all participants said that whole types are very necessary e.g. if we take care of our personal hygiene but don’t keep our home clean then our personal hygiene is purposeless because we take infection from our environment so it is very necessary that we take care of whole types of hygiene like: - personal Hygiene, domestic, food, environmental, water and sanitation hygiene. HIV/Aids:

start the session with that what is HIV/Aids participants told that it is a cureless disease then we write down the Abbreviations of HIV/Aids stand for what also discuss the causes, and precautions of  this disease its window period ,investigations and anti-Retroviral therapy. Very briefly discuss this topic due to shortage of time.  

All the sessions were conducted with enthusiastically and participants showed their keen interest and enormous contribution which made it a success. 

Outcomes of the training sessions: the training was evaluated by monitoring officer and suggestions for the further improvements were taken. All participants give feedback that training was very informative and they suggest that type of trainings conduct more and more for us.
