This project addresses the extreme need for mental health services and psychosocial rehab. Gaza children are suffering from different forms of violence and abuse as a result of political, economic, and social deterioration in the strip. PAMA Youth are US youth who stepped up to help their counterparts in Gaza. They are collaborating with Al-Ahli Arabi hospital in Gaza. Please join them and help our people in Gaza.
Gaza children are subjected to different forms of violence. War, the political situation, and poverty have negatively affected the mental health of Gaza's people and namely children
This project is funding a well established psychosocial rehab program at Al-Ahli hospital in Gaza. The program has screened a total of 600 children who need intensive and sustainable rehab. Families at times also need rehab as a whole. This program has shown successful results before and has been chosen by PAMA and PAMA Youth to deliver the services described. The program has started its phase 1 to rehab 200 children, and we are seeking fund to rehab another 200 children in phase 2 .
Untreated mental health issues have dangerous consequences, especially in a place like Gaza. We and through this program are trying to restore mental health to these children, and help them resume their life normally. While normal life is not a Gaza thing, we believe that our program is going to help produce a productive youth down the road, and its benefits are long lasting.
