Many of us might not be aware of the growing refugee crisis in Uganda. There's over 1.8 million refugees now in Uganda and 61% of them are children. Many of these children are suffering from severe malnutrition and desperately need our help. We will be sending a medical container consisting of nutritional products, Ambulance and medical aid.
In 2013 Uganda opened its boarders to refugees from southern Sudan and DRC congo but unfortunately it hadn't put enough adequate support for the number of refugees which is now estimated at 2.3 million people
This project will solve part of the problem by providing nutrition products and medical equipment and also an Ambulance which we will use to ferry the severally malnourished children to a national referral hospital where they would get the much needed treatment.
The long term effect would be to setup a temporary mini clinic with some of the equipment that we have acquired and also to monitor the progress of the children who have been affected by chronic and recurrent illnesses.
