To enhance the already existing skills wherein developing their technical expertise and capacity of production, training on design & quality improvement of 60 women artisans was conducted successfully. The training has strengthened the women who are now capable of stitching variety of patterns in meeting the market requirement. The programme encourages women artisans to upgrade and continue interest in the line of tailoring with confidence. It also describes the scope and viability of the trading industry and mainly of the financial, technical and its market potential that support women’s empowerment.
The impact of the training was fruitful as they could acquire new knowledge and also work on the existing knowledge through which they could improve upon their existing skills and simplest way at a minimum amount of time. It has also increased the capacity of the collectives in production locally and outside of the state that have motivated and made them more confident about their work and are able to support their family as well in a much better way.
Through the project, the FST team is expecting a well- structured women artisans of expert’s collectives looking after every aspect of the value chain being created with production and marketing of market-oriented quality products by the collectives. Constant support for continuous mentoring and consultation has been provided accordingly.
Further training on development of Master Trainer through training and exposure for sustainability will also be initiated accordingly.
