The SALVEASERRA, NGO and the Serra da Conc├│rdia Wildlife Sanctuary, one of the few private owned Atlantic Rain Forest protection area in Brazil, receive regularly students groups for "A Day in the Forest" guided tour and lectures on protecting and restoring the forests and biodiversity. For many is the first time they ever entered a forest and saw a water spring.

    Roberto Lamego Sigrid, I don't know if I can answer you here, but just to say, we plant many trees, palm trees and fruit trees. This year we expect to plant more than 5.000. Many of these kids are visiting a forest for the first time and learning the importance of the trees and the forests and their relationship with the water. We... Read more »

I'm all for the exposure of these children to our natural resources and environment, and hoping they will plant their own trees as a result.My brother lives half the year in Brazil, so the day may come when I visit!Thanks again,Sigrid
