Hear from the students about DIL
By Laila Karamally | Executive Director
![A typical DIL Classroom]()
A typical DIL Classroom
"My name is Navid and I attend Class 7 at the DIL Communiy School in Jabri. I live in a very mountainous area. I used to go to a government school before, but the teachers there would never show up. Or if they did, it would be once a week and they would not teach me anything. Then I moved to the DIL Community School in Jabri. The teachers here are very nice. They give us activities to do. I return home at sundown - then I start my homework. Usually, I study by candlelight and make sure all my work is done. I wake up at sunrise and start the walk back to school. I want the new school to open soon!"
The DIL School Building project needs to raise $66,000. There are only FIVE days left to for the GlobalGiving Open Challenge campaign and DIL is currently in second place in terms of most funds raised. Help us secure the top spot and complete the DIL school in Jabri so that Navid and the hundreds more like those in the videos below can receive quality education.
