Project Purple Paw - serving ALL victims of domestic violence, on 2 legs and 4.
After only launching the project a few short weeks ago, the response to the Purple Paw Project has been overwhelming. Comments like, “ It never occurred to me that a pet would be used as a pawn ” to “Your project touches me deeply. I cannot imagine how trapped these women must feel”.
In speaking with the directors of the new participating womens’ and family shelters, they tell us it is a great comfort having FOAU and the Purple Paw in their referral network. As speed is critical to ensuring the safety of their clients, knowing that we are only a phone call away is truly the difference between life and death for women, children, and pets in crisis situations.
We are grateful for your support and the ability to serve the community of northern Utah with this new and necessary project, Purple Paw. Your donation allows families a second chance, a new life. We give them the space for hope.
Project reports on GlobalGiving are posted directly to globalgiving.org by Project Leaders as they are completed, generally every 3-4 months. To protect the integrity of these documents, GlobalGiving does not alter them; therefore you may find some language or formatting issues.
