Provide water to the Ntene-Nte community, Cameroon

To facilitate hygiene & sanitation improvement, Mbiame New Vision proposes to procure and distribute soap and other cleaning supplies to 100 households. Further, Mbiame New Vision will improve the condition of 15 wells currently in use by the community and construct 5 new ones to facilitate water supply to the growing population. The communal effect of this intervention is expected to improve sanitation and hygiene both at the household and community level, and reduce vulnerability to diseases.

As of March 30th 2018, the United Nations estimated that 160,000 people were reportedly displaced and, over 20,000 Cameroonian refugees were registered in Nigeria. The impact of the crisis and armed conflict on livelihood, shelter, hygiene and sanitation has caused many issues behind the challenging moments IDPs (Internally Displaced Persons) are facing.

Water is essential to all life. Unclean water is one of the biggest causes of disease in the world. For a community to truly be revitalised, it must start by having clean access to water. This project will provide this essential for survival to the Ntentene community in Bamenda.

Long-Term Impact

The long term impact will be the transformation and healing of an entire community of people.
