Dear Supporters,

I would like to introduce myself. My name in Nicole and I am one of the high school project managers for the Palmyra-Haiti Technology Project. As a student I am proud to have been involved with the project since the beginning. This project has given me the opportunity to learn about cultural differences and give back on a global level. It is truly amazing to see the growth and the community support behind our project since 2009.

Moving ahead, our middle school and high school groups have been working diligently.  Although each of our school groups are separated geographically, we have been video conferencing via iPads. We have been able to accomplish a great deal through these conferences.

Some exciting times are headed our project’s way!

  • On March 25 the Palmyra-Haiti Technology Project will be featured at Palmyra Pride Night. This our school district’s public event to share our recent accomplishments with the community as well as promote it.
  • Intel Education Service Corps will be visiting our schools in Haiti this April. While in Haiti they will be training teachers and students on the computers along with servicing any technical equipment. (link below)
  • Our project may be highlighted in an upcoming book by Homa Travanger. More details to come in a future update.

GlobalGiving’s first bonus matching funds day of 2013 is Wednesday, March 13th.  On this day, beginning at 9am EST, GlobalGiving will match up to $1000 per donor up to 30%. Please consider a gift on that day.

As always, thank you for your continued support.
