Happy New Year!

Dear friends,

I wish I could write every single person individually but there wouldn't be anything left of my fingers!

This year, in light of all the natural disasters and manmade tragedy, we decided not to send out a large scale appeal for end of year donations. Instead, I am sending you all a thank you letter, an "I love you all" letter, an I appreciate you letter and I am wishing for each and every one of you a fantastic New Year full of hope, love and light.

Each and every one of our supporters is so important not only to this organization, but to me...personally.  There are personal friends here, cyber friends and even some whom I dont know at all who contribute in one way or another to the success of this rescue, this foster home and myself. We simply could not be who we are without each and every one of you.

This year we took in 19 horses, a few less than average but, we can't and won't take in more than we can afford. Four of these horses are now permanent residents due to soundness or age issues. We have assisted in the gelding of four horses this year preventing them from potentially becoming rescues, we assisted in sling rescue of three horses in desperate need, and we assisted countless horse owners in need with hay, feed, blankets, and advice. We also rescued four senior dogs this year, two who went on to forever homes, one has crossed over and one who is sleeping soundly through the rain and cold right now with me...wrapped in an alpaca fur blanket that was donated to her, thanks to Michelle. One run-in and the fencing in the senior pasture is now complete, we hope with your help that we will be able to complete the second shelter as planned this spring.

It has been a great year. Ups and downs, gains and losses, good and bad, it all equals progress and success. The people in my life, those who breathe life into this farm have made it so. I can appreciate the baby steps and all the people who have made this possible. So, once again, you all have become someone to me and this rescue, not just anyone...but someone special.  Thank you for being a part of my life and enriching it. I could not ask for more.
