Safe Happy Families
Safe Happy Families

While our final statistic won't be in before January, you have helped us assist over 500 victims with over 300 children in 2013! That means hundreds of victims are spending this holiday season in homes that are non-violent, safe and happy because of your generosity.

Here is a quote from one of the families you helped: "It is hard to believe that someone who didn't even know us helped us get home safely. So many bad things happened in our home, I didn't think anyone cared. I will never forget what you did for us. Thank you."

For those of you who already give recurring donations to our help rescue 500 battered women and their children program, we thank you so much. For those of you who have not given recurring donations, please consider becoming a recurring donor between December 20th and December 31st and Global Giving will match your December donation 100% as long as the recurring donation lasts four months.

If you give $20 a month for four months, your $80 becomes $100!

We sincerely thank you for your support and wish you and your loved ones a happy holiday.

First I want to personally thank you for your support of our Help Rescue 500 Battered Women And Their Children program. This program is critical to the safety of hundreds of battered American women and their children annually.

As a supporter, I also wanted to let you know that I have published my memoir, Harvesting Stones, An American woman's international journey of survival, almost 15 years after escaping Dubai.

If you are interested, my memoir goes into detail of why I was compelled to start the organization. To read the first chapter for free please go to

For the launch on October 7th, the kindle version will be available on at a discounted price of only $2.99.

Folks that buy Harvesting Stones between October 7th and October 17th, and leave a review, will be entered to win a $100 Amazon gift card. On October 18th we will pick the lucky winner!

I truly appreciate your belief in my vision and our mission. Warmest wishes, Paula

We usually see a slow down in September after the busy summer months when most battered American moms flee back home to the USA with their children. This year is different. We have had 18 new clients the first ten days of September and our case managers already have an on-going case load of 100 clients.

"I asked for help at the American Embassy and the consular officer there gave me your information. You have no idea the difference you made for me. Knowing you were there to support me gave me the strength I needed to flee back home to my parents house. I will never forget you!"

Without donors like you our work would not be possible. Thank you for believing in our mission.

Warmest wishes, Paula

As you know the cases of American women and their children being battered overseas are very complicated and can take a long time. After two years of working with one family, Tamra and her two sons, a judge allowed Tamra to stay in the USA with her sons and did not force them to return overseas. The judge put the safety of her and her sons first, not returning them to horrific abuse in the foreign country.

This is a case where we were able to provide wraparound services because of your generous donation. It took two years but now this family will be safe forever from abuse.

Here is a note from Tamra: Amazing! I will never, ever forget what you have done for us. You saved our lives. God bless you.
