The festival of light, "Diwali" is warmly celebrated all over India in the happiness of returning Lord Rama to Ayodhya. This festival is celebrated by all the Indians, we wear new clothes, lighten earthen lamps, eat sweets and burn fireworks to express our happiness. But there is a population which is miles away from this joy and happiness who don't get sufficient meal for a day and also a larger part of population which lives nearby the road and in the slums. For the children of this community, the joy of happiness is just a day-dream.
Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan, with the help of Global Giving Foundation and the donors, has made a little effort to bring happiness and joy in the life of 20 poor street children. On Diwali, the volunteers of the RSKS organisation have distributed fireworks, sweet, clothes, food and toys among 20 poor street children who live near the NH-8. The volunteers have celebrated Diwali with these poor children. All 20 poor children got their dreams come true and all of this came to happen just because of the help of Global Giving and the donors.
Among those 20 children, a seven-years old child asked,"Has God sent all these stuffs to us ?", the volunteers of the organisation got speechless. These children don't believe when our volunteers told about Global Giving because till the end of the program, they were continuously repeating that all these stuffs has been sent by God to us and he is the only who can bring this sort of happiness to us. All those children said, "God has sent you to get us all these stuffs". Hearing all this, the volunteers also got emotional and speechless because you, "The Global Giving & Donors " had been the God to all of the poor children who brought happiness, joy on the occasion of Diwali.
On behalf of the beneficiaries, RSKS India would like to thank you for your generous donation to help them.

We are currently expecting delays in getting funds to this project due to new regulatory requirements that impact GlobalGiving's ability to disburse to organizations in India. GlobalGiving is working hard to address the issue. Donations to this project will be disbursed as quickly as possible.
