Summary

This project will provide 500 orphans infected with HIV/AIDS with nutritious food,medical and health care in Nakuru County, Kenya.In addition, this project will fund a farm that will grow vegetables and fruits that will ensure its sustainability and food security to the Orphans. When children consistently have enough food, proper nutrition and good health they will have both the peace of mind and the energy they need in order to thrive and do their daily activities effectively.

Challenge

According to the UN, the Region of Sub-Saharan Africa (Kenya included) has the most orphaned children due to HIV/AIDS,at14,800,000 orphans.In Kenya,HIV/AIDS affects the society at all levels and the potential impact on children includes loss of family, increased food insecurity,decline in health status and health care,declining nutritional status and increased vulnerability to HIV infection.This project will provide nutritious food,medical & health care to 500 AIDS orphans in Nakuru County,Kenya

Solution

This project will provide daily food,essential nutrients,medical and health care to HIV/AIDS infected orphans. The daily provision of food to the orphans,proper nutrition and good health care will ensure peace of mind and the energy they need in order to thrive and do their daily activities effectively.Pure, unstained religion, according to God our Father, is to take care of orphans when they suffer.

Long-Term Impact

The project will help 500 orphans infected with HIV/AIDS by providing them with better medical and health care and good nutrition diet that will prolong their lives and thus giving them a chance to live a better life in the future. As part of the project, vegetables and fruits will be grown in the farm to feed the orphans (to boost their daily nutritional intake) and to ensure sustainability of the project and food security.
