REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE.
The water and basic sanitation project promoted by the Un Mundo organization works in all areas related to environmental issues, in order to educate and make all beneficiaries aware of the importance of caring for our nature.
As part of the activities, children from various communities were taught to make card stock with recycled paper, extract paint from flowers, and make garbage cans from plastic bottles, training nearly 100 adolescents.
The purpose of these training processes is to reduce the negative impact on the environment, either through garbage or contamination of water sources.

Our organization Un Mundo believes that education changes life, and that is why we work hard on a sustainable education, with social and environmental awareness.
Our programming children have carried out an awareness campaign about the care and importance of water, in order to educate the population, and that we are more aware of the catastrophic consequences that we can have if we do not take care of our nature.

WATER IS LIFE…
Water is becoming increasingly scarce, and this must be a constant concern because it puts people's health and lives at risk.
During all this time of the COVID pandemic, we have been able to verify the importance of having water in quantity and quality to prevent contagion, since hand washing is important.
We will continue working to offer quality drinking water to our beneficiaries, to ensure a better quality of life, in addition to an environmental education that guarantees the care and protection of water sources, and the correct use of it.
So far we have achieved incredible results, and parasitic and contagious diseases have been reduced thanks to our intervention with the project. However, to continue to have the same positive impact, we need to continue your support and collaboration, and helping to connect with more people.

EMERGENCY SITUATION
A human being can survive without food for 45 to 65 days, but without water, only 3 to 5 days.
TESTIMONY OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE WATER PROJECT:
In our El Pital community, we worked on a drinking water system to supply 15 families, a little more than 20 years ago, our community currently has almost 100 families, and our drinking water project has collapsed. There is a lot of demand for the service, and the water source is about to disappear, which has us worried.
We are constantly looking for funds for a new drinking water project, which can supply water in quantity and quality, and ensure the reduction of parasitic diseases, including diarrhea and stomach pain.

Our water program focuses not only on supplying the liquid as such, but on educating for life, through environmental training with children and youth, ensuring that its actions are aimed at the conservation and protection of the environment.
Educating for life in this program is based on: educating for change and for health, from an environmental perspective, which ensures that you have quality water and plenty of it, as part of our project objectives.
TESTIMONY OF EDUCATIONAL FACILITATOR:
The children in my community love to be able to address this issue, because we do it in a fun and creative way, but creating a very strong awareness of the importance of caring for the environment. We always do extension activities on the subject, such as: cleaning the community, reforestation, educational campaign with labels in strategic places, others.
