Provide 200 Doctor Kits for Med Students in Cuba

Thanks to supporters like you, Global Links has procured the key materials and assembled nearly all of the doctor's kits needed to support this year's upper class medical students at the Escuela LAtinoamericana de MEdicina (ELAM). The kits will contain an oto-ophthalmoscope, 2 key reference books (MERCK manual and the PAHO disease guide) and a minor surgery kit. UPon arrival in Cuba, our partners will add a blood pressure unit to complete the kit. These doctor's kits will be distributed in the near future and provide the students with reliable tools with which to conduct medical evaluations and primary care consultations- key to detecting problems early.  We will continue the project next year to provide another year's class with these basic, but extremely important medical tools.
