Hello!
I'm happy to share with you our newest activity: the Career Day.
More than 200 students are now studying english in a special 2 year program. This kids are amazing! they're smart, curious and they all have a great opportunity to become great professionists. They all come from low income communities and they've been chosen because of their commitment to their edducation. We also interviewed their families and we know studying at the RIA is a unique experience for them.
Besides english, and academic content, we wanted this kids to be inspired. We organized 4 career days so people from our organization and other volunteer professionists could share with them their work and how they ended up doing what they do. I had the chance to go and it was a great experience.
What did you study? Why?
What is your passion?
Why did you chose to teach, to heal, to design, to program?
What's what you like the most about your job?
What inspires you to wake up every day and go to work?
This are the kind of questions the kids asked us. In the end they were taking pictures with us and they wanted to keep in touch for recomendations and just sharing more stories and pictures. Some of them asked us to go back to the center and tell them more about our lives and carreer. We were definitly happy to share those moments and to be a part of each other's lives.
