In Togo, more than 70% of children who have been orphaned or made vulnerable by HIV/AIDS do not receive any medical, educational, social or psychological support. in the first year, this project 40 vulnerable orphaned AIDS children Action Pour l'Humain will provide assist to Lome North West neighborhoods orphan facing a challenging increase in poverty due to death of parents du to AIDS. Our organization needs financial support to make shine a smile in vulnerable children faces.
The magnitude of AIDS orphans children problem has strained traditional support systems, placing many children in critical need of support from outside their extended family. In 2005 according to UNICEF , approximately 88,000 orphans from 0 to 17 in Togo. Children need various types of support ranging from those things necessary for survival, such as food and health care. Orphans children are exposed to hunger, sexual abuse and HIV.
Action Pour l'Humain continues supporting AIDS orphaned children in Lome North west where it intervene. 40 vulnerable children will be provide with the health care including the educational and nutritional support to grow positively away from discrimination. Also, we will ensure the social protection for the well-being children . The project will contribute to the decrease of HIV infection among orphan children and prevent HIV from mother to child trough intensive HIV screaming
Action Pour l'Humain is working to support children and women in the community. In the next 5 years we will support more than 120 AIDS orphaned children providing them with necessary health coverage and educational needs. Supply the children community Center to provide temporary shelter. We are working with different organization and community leaders advocating for AIDS orphaned situation so that together we can identify and support more than 500 children the next 5 year.
