Dear Partners,
Conservation succeeds when communities are empowered to lead. Around the forests of Cross River State, local residents are becoming the strongest defenders of the Cross River Gorilla through training, awareness, and sustainable livelihood opportunities.
For many years, poverty and limited economic options forced families to depend heavily on forest resources. Today, our project is helping create alternatives that reduce pressure on critical wildlife habitats while improving household resilience.
By supporting community-based conservation, donors are helping preserve biodiversity, protect endangered species, and strengthen environmental sustainability. Local forest guards receive training to monitor habitats and report illegal activities, while awareness programs educate youth and families about the importance of wildlife conservation.
The Cross River Gorilla represents far more than a single species. Protecting its habitat safeguards countless plants, birds, and animals that share these forests. Healthy forests also help regulate rainfall, store carbon, and support climate resilience.
Together, we can create a future where conservation and community development go hand in hand. Your donation helps empower local guardians and protect one of the world's most endangered primates.
Thank you for investing in sustainable conservation solutions.
