Progress Report on Community Health Interventions.
By Jane Karanja - Project Coordinator.
Thank you for having being part of us in the year 2011. The project benefited 2,930 households of the 10,000 households from kokwa community in a big way. Bed nets were distributed to different households. Malaria cases decreased, and we attributed this to cleaner environments especially no breeding sites, capacity building for health workers, 5000 assorted seedlings including Neem were planted by the households, Kokwa Dispensary and neighboring schools, trees will not only act as mosquito repellants but form wood lots for future use as wood fuel to save on existing indigenous trees.
Through your kind donations we shall be able to provide all households with bed nets, build groups capacity in environment conservation and disease management and increase number of trees planted.
As we move on to 2012, we wish to recognize your efforts in changing lives, and we look forward for a bountiful 2012.
