In Balasore there are maximum numbers of backward families who belongs to mainly scheduled caste & other backward communities and their family size are very large.For which their socio economic condition are under develop.The reason behind it is level of awareness is very low so the aim of the project here to access the family planning services at the door step of the rural community through awareness, behavior change,avail of family planning services in Balasore district, Odisha.
1. Population explosion 2.Poverty 3.Lack of health,education and livelihood opportunity 4.Migration 5.Environment pollution Scheduled Caste & Other Backward Communities are affected and the solution of problems through this project intervention will benefit the target SC & OBC community ,
• Organise village level awareness meeting on small family norm in 26 villages • Development of IEC materials on family planning • IEC campaign on different methods of familyn planning • Opening of Community Based Depot (CBD)for immediate access of family planning devices to eligible couple. • Organise NSV/Tubectomy operation camps in different places for permanent family planning.
Qualitative: • Awareness level of common people will be high • Change in behavior of rural people • Check of population growth • People will get access to different family planning devices/methods • Quantitative: • 52 nos. of awareness meetings organized • 156. of BCC sessions conducted • 6000 nos. of IEC materials developed • 26 nos. of campaign conducted • 16000 nos. of family planning devices distributed to Eligible Couples • 10 no. of NSV/Tubectomy operation camps organized.
