This project is ongoing with Janjay Village of Hope completed phase one of the Science Lab Project, using the GlobalGiving accelerated program funded. Phase two of the project which is near completion includes laying of tiles, construction of cabinets, and water system, etc.
Phase two of this project fund was used to purchase remaining tiles, plumbing materials, and labor. Students continue to show gratitude to us as we do the work. This regional laboratory will prepare students for the national test. The capacity of the lab when complete will accommodate 82-90 students for chemistry, biology, and physics within their respective workspaces.
Our goal is to empower the school so they can teach students the science courses needed to help them obtain their school diploma. However, we have used all fundraised at $4000+ to complete phase one of the project and phase two near to completion.
The remaining work to complete the project includes windows installation, floor tiles, and paint and which will require an additional $5800
Janjay Village of Hope initiated phase one of the Gorblee School Science Lab Project in District #3 Grand Bassa County. The Phase One of this project fund was used to purchase materials for space preparation, bricks laying, form dvevelopment and labor.
Students in Gorblee are very excited about this laboratory which will serve as the only regional lab in the area to prepare them for the national test. This auditorium space when complete will accommodate 82-90 students for chemistry, biology and physics work.
Our goal is to empower the school so they can teach students the science courses needed to help them obtain their school diploma. It is our hope that funding will become available to complete the construction of the project. The school authority and parents are very excited about the science lab. However, we have not been able to raise the resouces needed to complete the project. It is our hope that we will raise the money to complete this project as it very crucial to improve science and technology in that area of Liberia.
