If more rural women had access to financing, a lot of things could change both for individual families and broader communities. We believe that when women have money in their pockets they are more likely to save it, or spend it on more nutritious food, afford health care and educate the entire household. When we equip them with entrepreneurship skills we grant them access to economic opportunities that will increase their incomes.
Data has revealed that the women in rural communities have been greatly affected by poverty problems than those living in urban centers; additionally, the results of poverty are seemingly more disastrous as they have led to hunger, disease, illiteracy. Although many efforts have been put up to solve rural poverty, these efforts have not created sustainable solutions to poverty. This project will help women start up and improve their own enterprises to boost their income.
The project will help women living poverty start-up business enterprises that will enable them have an income that can cater for the household needs. This will prevent all problems that arise within households as a result of poverty.
The project will help in building an empowered and self-sustaining community as most of the women shall have income to cater for their individual needs.
