Luuka County in Uganda is one area where child abuse, violation of child rights, sexual harassment, mental and physical violence are very high. This fund will therefore help in promoting child rights and reducing all forms of child abuse and violation as well protecting children through Training, sensitization, meeting, awareness campaigns child rights advocates, teachers, police, children, families, local authorities, care givers etc.
In Luuka County there a high increase in child abuse & violation of child rights, child labour, neglect, physical violence against children, 59% sexually harassed, psychosocial distress & ignorance about child rights, 79% are slapped, 65% are shouted at, 85% caned We are working with international volunteers from the Netherlands and other states here on the ground to support both Orphans and Vulnerable children . All Donors to this project will receive reports and email updates.
Through awareness campaigns, mobilization and sensitization meeting on the rights of children, trainings, In and out of school children, community members, teachers council authorities / leaders will be sensitized, mobilized about children's rights, prevention of child abuse and child neglect, reduction of physical violence on children, stop sexual harassment as well child responsibilities. Disseminate children act to local leaders, teachers, judiciary and enforcement agents (Police)
Prevention of violation of children rights & child protection requires all kinds of international support to publicize and promote awareness, observance and adherence to all child rights and protection from abuse.
